Who We Are

Our Story: From Groundbreaking to Lifesaving

We are committed to giving homeless animals the care, rehabilitation, and second chances they deserve. Through adoption, foster care, veterinary services, and community education, we work to build a compassionate community.

In 2025, we proudly expanded our mission with the grand opening of the LeDoulx Veterinary Clinic.

Lost & Found Pets

Helping Pets Find Their Way Home

Since the late 1980s, Missaukee County has not had a dedicated animal control department. All animal control matters are handled through the Missaukee County Sheriff’s Department at 231-839-4338 ext. 1.

The Missaukee Humane Society (MHS) partners with Missaukee County to provide shelter and care for stray dogs found within Missaukee County, as kennel space allows.
